NUSofting released version 1.5 of DK+ Virtual Drums for Windows VST

What's new in DK+ 1.5:

1) Funk Equipment Kit1a LE (15 pads, 10 layers each), a reduced version of the big FE Set One,
has been included with 21 styles in the DK+ Library.

2) Kit and Style names are now saved with the host song or project.
Also, they will be marked with a "*" if edited before saving.

3) Drag&Drop export of internal patterns as MIDI file.

4) Added a global preference to use the FX Send control as a send gain on the Aux 3 output as an alternative to the Reverb send per pad.

5) The velocity controlled filter of each pad can now be selected as LP or HP, greatly extending sonic possibilities.

6) More controls for improved usability: Reverb toggle on panel, button for quicker banks browsing, Kit submenus.

7) Small fixes and further optimizations.

Purchase options:

- DK+ 1.5 Windows VST Full Price 48 USD.
- 1.2 to 1.5 Upgrade Price 14 USD.
- Free upgrade to DK+ users who bought or will buy Funk Equipment Set One before 30-June-2006.

I might be bad at keeping up, but still, I never heard of Funk Equipment before now. The price of the upgrade sounds a bit punitive, if I was considering updating all the expansions as well as updating to 1.5.

From where I sit it looks like you announced the passing of a deadline for a good deal in the same breath that you announced the deal.

Hey,

As far I can see, Luigi announced the funk equipment deal on the 21st May- one whole month ago (the kit itself, as an expansion, was released more than 6 months ago). Even without that, he has said for *months and months* that the upgrade will cost money for implementing the midi export drag and drop, for instance. But man, to call US$14 'punitive' for an upgrade that includes not only useability enhancements, but also new features and sounds, that is really something - I am/was suprised enough that I had to respond to your comments... since when is a 14 dollar upgrade punitive?
...

if you only got $13 spare ...

... but seriously ... yeah ... this deal has been around for a while (i grabbed the funk equipment kit a couple of weeks ago because of it TBH) ...

You guys are reading way too much into my comment. I was very happy to buy DK+ and the 1234 pack. I want to offer to buy the other update and
get the upgrade free.

From my point of view it's $24 + $14 because I won't feel good about just the update. Keep a longtime customer happy and give me the deal you gave others. I'll paypal $24 *today* if you agree.

ok, it's not much effort to change to this

- the 1.5 upgrade of DK+ is free
to DK+ users who bought or will buy FE Set One before (and including) the 24-June-2006

Sorry to pile on, James, but the Funk Kit was announced here on December 22, 2005.

I hate missing a deal, too. But sometimes I just plain do miss it. Not somebody else's fault, or their responsibility to fix it, when that happens. IMHO.

Frankly, I think Luigi has gone wayyyyy past bending over backwards on this.

Agreed, as he always does!

Luigi, do you think you could make an option to buy at least one of them (Funk Equipment+upgrade or just the upgrade) on Share*it. For some reason my cc doesn't play nice with Paypal.

Post

thanks pw and GreyLion, I much appreciate your words,

now afer some thinkings I decided that extending the deal for one week
may help, mainly for the great Chris of Funk Equipment who sampled the kit,

so the 1.5 upgrade of DK+ is free
to who bought or will buy FE Set One
before and including the 24-June-2006

Nice update Luisi. I noticed on the webpage there was some mention of problems with Tracktion with the 1.5 update. What were these problems? I've just tried it with Tracktion 2 and so far it seems to work Hunky Dory.

cool, just it seemed that Tracktion doesn't return always the bar position correctly, an issue which may affect
DK+ pattern switch in some case

Works great with tracktion here, no problems at all... and the bar position issue Liqih mentions in the above post only happened for me when switching between patterns of different page/step sizes on an edit supplied by another user here.
