Is it possible to use existing VST .dll files or do the VSTs have to be special version? The website makes it sound like existing VST .dll files are a hit and miss process.

Hi Anfmusic,
Yeah, it is abit of a hit-or-miss thing, mostly at the whim of the vst programmer. Typically, if the dll doesn't use any special authorization (like hardware dongles), or doesn't write to directories outside of where the dll resides, there's a good shot it'll just work.
Fortunately, there is a wide community of people experimenting with various plugs to see if they work on Receptor. Also, this site itself (kvraudio) keeps good records about almost all vsts - and whether others have tried them on receptor.
Is there some specific set of VSTs that you wish to find if others have experience with on Receptor?
Regards,
Kevin L
