Just listened to the demo
Nice little thingie, though it is far from the real balafon (**), do you intend to create a mac version in the future ?
So theis is based on the famous Karpus-strong model, i assume ?
I said this because i was astonished when xoxos once told on a thread that many physical models of plucked strings ( especially ) where based on those short delay lines, similar to comb filter or emulated sympathetic resonnances
( BTW I'm working on creating some samples tuned by delay lines that sound a bit similar when strongly transposed up )

" Balafon " in the contraction of " Balanfola " that mean in Jula language ( from western africa) " A Balan player" .
..as well as "Djembefola" means "A djembe player" ...seems that ( originally !) the proper name for this instrument was a " Balan "
...if this make sense for you, i plan to go back in Burkina Faso in a near future if everything works fine, would you be interested to have native scales from original instruments ( this mainly depends from the tribes in wish the balafon was built ) ?

so I plan to both improve it and make a Mac version

not even on another derived string model,
it's an hybrid FM+Modelling I invented,
same as Peti,
that was the old school way of doing Karpus-Strong with hardware, one ping sampled thru a short delay and played back in a sampler,
still interesting I think
