Receptor future plans?!

Hi,
I've been checking the receptor at my musicstore and i must say i was amazed of the features and not least the GUI it has. Great job there!

Now for my question and i'm probably not alone here, but then only thing i got a feeling of was that the Receptor is starting to feel kinda outdated regarding its CPU + memory specifications. Since the cpu market grows, faster cpu's arrive all the time, what plans upgrade'wise does Muse Research have for their flagship product?!

I know that the receptor isnt so upgradable as one would wish because of many hardware reasons.
But are there plans to release a "newer" version of it?

I probably wont get any answers about it but i feel i need to ask anyway. ;-)

Best Regards,
Juan Gauthier

Juan,

We have just released the Receptor REV C but we are very aware of current trends in computer horse power. However this must be balanced with producing a reliable platform for our user base that easly integrates into exisitng systems.

I have to say that processing power is NOT as big a deal as you would think because of the optimizations. This is truly a tremendous device. I am running it stock right now (Rev C with 256MB) and havent run into issues at all. And if I forsee any, its in the RAM.

This processor is essentially the same as whats in my Laptop and I run Sonar 5 and used to run all the same plugs. For Effects, the horsepower is extremely ample and for Instruments, I think you would be hard pressed in a non benchmarking test to run to capacity.
