TLs Saturated Driver is good quality and free, I don't know how it compares to C1 though.

try the buzcomp free bundle. esp grancomp3 is a very good one (3 band + limiter).

You should try the free Kjaerhus Classic comp. I don't know C1, but the Kjaerhus plugs are very so I am sure you will find a use for it.
