Hi all, I have just upgraded my box with 2GB matched pair of RAM and was hoping to see a gopod appreciable difference in load times and response times for my pianos in Kontakt but this is not quite the case. My CPU bar still maxes when playing steinway D in Kontakt, and the load times are not much faster.
Could anyone tell me please what immediate improvements I should see by increasing RAM from 1.256GB to 2GB? It looks as though the improvements are minimal;
2GB Ram Improvements.

Well, first off, you would not see any load time improvements, RAM does not fogure into it. Response time, however, should improve a bit - mainly what you get is less tendency to spike and more (or larger) instruments.
I don't know the Steinway D under Kontakt, but THe Colossus Steinway generates large amounts of immediate CPU usage when beginning a note. Be sure DFD is turned on and set appropriately (try various settings if need be.)
