Hi,
you're welcome. glad you like the samples.

TRIAC,you asked about stereosamples of the cymbals. well, i mic'ed them real close so you can place them in the stereo field like you want to. Or did I miss something (maybe a sort of flanging or phasing effect)?! Wpould like to know about this!
thanx

It is much better sounding to mic them with two mikes
like the microphones are placed Over the head of the drummer:)
Isn't it? :)

Well, in that case, there would be lots of ambience on the cymbals. I started with this sampling project, because, I need dry samples of my kit to replace or add sounds of my own drum recordings. That's why I never thought about that "overhead recording situation" ;)

Post

I honnestly think that dry sampling is the best way to do it. It keeps them neutral.
Don't forget that some Vsti only allow mono samples...

Post

mono and dry, way to go for accoustic drum samples imo. :)

Thanks yPPse! I understand now:)

Anyway they sounds great!
Did you processed them with EQ and compression?
:)
the snares are too short:( the ambient of your room is disappearing too soon :?
