I'm playing with the demo.
Nice synth, but not nice enough to be a "must have" for this price, sorry!

- You should remove the synthedit-gui and make your own. Many people are reading "make with synthedit" and go away (because most of SE-plugins are crap). And I must say: I don't like the gui.
- An arpeggiator or stepsequencer is highly recommended

The group-buy was a great idea! May be if the price is low enough you have another costumer :)
Have you forget an introductory offer while V1 was released? I cannot remember...

Your synth-engine produces very deep and fabulous sound and seems a bit underrated by many people. Hope you have some improvements on your "todo list" so your Sylenth1 will be a "must have" :)

This is missing too:

A special DJ Tiesto Soundset :) !!!

No Joke !!!

I really like this Tiesto Lead in the Song Theme from Norefjell (Live in Concert 2003) and if ur Synth can create this i buy it.

These are both on the todo list. Rebuilding the entire interface (there are well over 170 knobs/controls, the voice management core needs to be redone, and parts of the DSP code need to be rewritten to get it working on Mac too) is a lot of work though, but I think it's worth it.

There hasn't been an introduction offer, so this group buy is one, more or less ;)

Thanks. And yes, I think some people simply don't take the time to find out what it is really capable of unfortunately.

Quite a coincidence, I added a preset that was kind of like the one from Norefjell to the last update :)

Now that you mentioned it, I tried to make it a little more like the one Tiesto used:

http://www.lennardigital.com/files/temp/Norefjell.fxp

It should work in the demo too btw (just ignore the error).

Please Lennard... Don't go changing the GUI too much! It's one of the reasons I find Sylenth1 so appealing (synthedit graphics or not). :)

Fine :)
May be you can make some deal with Rob Papen, Bigtone or other well known soundprogrammers to add some more presets. There are many people which are not synth programmers and buying a vst while listen to the available presets. I know that many of the success of Albino or other synth have to do with the very big library of sounds and not while the synth itself are outstanding.

best solution in this case is to go the way like reFX (Nexus) or other companies went:
to make a handful of changeable skins that satisfy the most customers.

My opinions:
============
Sound: Not bad but i can't really recognize that this has 32 voices (if fully set). I mean this sounds a bit, uhm "thin"?! Other thing: The Attack phase could react a bit faster. Maybe for drums or punchy Lead Sounds. Hear some demo from Komplexer and you know what i mean

GUI: First of all, i'm one of these guys who don't like anything about synthedit or similar. Especially when trying to make money with this (Other case when finetuning the soundengine). After reading that this was just for the GUI i was interested too.
I like this GUI and my wish: Please change only the knob/slider-style in your special ones. Structure is very well. Also the "digital" interface in the middle...

Don't worry, the graphics will stay the same mostly, it's the knob behavior that would change, and there will be a built-in preset loader.

Yes, we're constantly on the lookout for skilled preset creators.

Here's a temporary demo from www.vstsoundbanks.com for example:

I think he's stopped making soundbanks:
http://www.trancecreator.com/adam/adamvanbaker/

But I'll ask him anyway if he's interested in doing some exclusive work for Sylenth1.

Thin? Hmm, if you call Sylenth1 thin, I wonder what you'd call fat ;)

The attack in Sylenth is VERY fast already, way faster than most other synths. Do you have a link for the Komplexer demo download? I'd gladly to do a comparitive attack measurement. :)

Check this bassdrum made with Sylenth for example, and look at its attack, it jumps right to the max in only like 5 or 6 samples (most other synths use a tenfold of that!):

"Thin" I couldn't confirm. If I compare a deep (sawsaw) pad against a deep pad from Albino3, Sylenth sounds fat. The only synth that sounds similar is Sytrus from ImageLine (FM-synthesis). But Sytrus is a beast, very hard to program and with a (too) small userinterface.
A good test is also to try a moogbass from Minimonsta or a deep bass from a NordLead. You can try the "moog bass" preset in Sylenth and if you close your eyes you think its coming from analog hardware ;)

The reason that i bought the sylenth is that (in my opinion) it is the first VSTi, that's NOT (!!!) sounding thin in the "bassment"! The quality of the oscillators and filters is the best I've heard from a VSTi by now.

Hast du nicht auf HR gemeint das du wohl der einzige bist mit dieser positiven Meinung über den Sylenth? Naja, gaaaanz so ist es ja nun doch nicht :P

I just posted this in the Group Buy announcement thread then noticed this thread, so thought it might be useful, with my superior expertise in programming knowledge and sound design here, to post it here  ....

Tried the demo and loved it. Spent over an hour and only got through the first 10 presets - this is a real tweakers dream - I made a couple of great presets (in my humble opinion ) and can't wait to use it properly in some tracks!! Love the filters and the overall layout is clear and concise. I have no problems with the GUI. CPU use very low for something of this quality. The only things I think I would additionaly request is linear rather than rotary knob control and perhaps a few more modulation options (to route to effects - lfo to reverb level?) and more actual modulation slots (so you can have more modulations at one time). And perhaps EQ reduction aswell as boost - plus configurable routing of the FX. Being able to copy and paste filter/oscillator settings would be handy too. Better stop there before I get carried away. I love Sylenth1! I will join this group buy as soon as my email is back up and running.
