Eve Request

Is there a way or any chance that Eve would ever be able to share the Soundset folders with Manytone/Wusik. and just keep it's presets separate?
I love Eve and I know that I can convert Wusiksnd/Dashsnd but with about 2 gig of Dash and 3 gig of Wusik it gets kind of insane trying to keep things organized. I know disk space is cheap but duplicating everything just seems kind of dumb.
I realize you have no control over what other developers do but if you guys could work this out it would be a big help to everyone.(for me anyway)
Would it just be a case of moving Data/soundsets to a neutral location?

I have manually changed the EVE data folder to wusiksound library folder in the registry. Moved the sounds and the bank-folder to the soundset folder of my Wusik and it's working nicely.
I must say that if you're not too familiar with registry editing, I wouldn't recommend doing that tho. Maybe someone can write a script to do that change?

A guy with serious GAS and lots of unused VSTs. But if I someday need them...

DotNoir UDaMan..............
I'm not sure why but I was under the delusion that the snd files were not compatible and had to be converted. Looks like that is only the case with Eve ver 1.8 and not ver 2.
Not a problem as it seems the earlier version just ignores the wusiksnd files.
Is it just me or does the 1.8 ver sound a little warmer on the low end? Or am I seduced by the wood side panels?
Thank You

a script is easy, what is your key now?DotNoir wrote:I have manually changed the EVE data folder to wusiksound library folder in the registry. Moved the sounds and the bank-folder to the soundset folder of my Wusik and it's working nicely.

good ear sir, right, the old filter boosts the low end more, but I prefered a more balance filter, you can still use EQ to enhance bassesIs it just me or does the 1.8 ver sound a little warmer on the low end? Or am I seduced by the wood side panels?

Ok I've moved all my .snd files to one folder and updated to the Eve_2_Full dll ver 2.00.10 all is well.
The only problem is that Eve is unable to browse more that one folder deep for .snd files. It was my hope that integrating all these sounds I would be able to organize them in some meaning full way.
Any chance we could get the option of sub folders?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DashSignature.com\EVE\LastPath
and
HKEY_USERS\a sequence of numbers\Software\DashSignature.com\EVE\LastPath
Change the value in "LastPath" to the location of your Many/WusikStation SoundSets, and then move the contents of the EVE data folder to your Many/WusikStation SoundSets folder. All your Dash and Wusik sounds (at one folder deep level) will now be available in EVE (and Many/WusikStation). In ManyOne, each folder appears twice (once each under Wusik sounds and Dash sounds).

I would really like to see a common, shared soundset folder between EVE and Wusik.
Here is a topic I have started about using the extra EVE soundsets in Wusik:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=162520
I hope this takes off into something that everyone can use and the opens the possibility for another project that uses Wusik soundsets in EVE, and eventually the using of both products soundsets within each other...

oh! but you dont need to hack the Register to do that,
if you simply move EVE Data folder, EVE 2 will ask you where it is and so she writes the LastPath value,
so if you move EVE Data folder to Many/WusikStation SoundSets, should be enough, no?

I will try this next week after I have moved.
The entire EVE Data folder, including the presets?
Or only the folders within the EVE Data folder, including presets?
