Noisy Send with Dr-Fusion2?

I've been using Dr-Fusion2 with LUNA Free PR4. As a VSTi audio source, it works great. But whenever I insert a send into its mixer strip, I get a buzzing noise in the audio. The buzzing seems to be generated by the combo of Dr-Fusion & the send, since appears in the audio output from the destination mixer strip (the one sent to) but not the Dr-Fusion mixer strip, and its volume increases / decreases with both the send level and the destination strip's fader. This does occur with any other plug-in, at least that I've noticed so far. Any idea why this particular plug-in might have a problem with sends?

I tried what you described but it works fine in PR4 here.
Can you please email me a narrowed down musession file that demonstrates this problem?
I'm not sure what you mean here: does this "noisy" problem with other synths than DrFusion?DaveL60 wrote:This does occur with any other plug-in, at least that I've noticed so far. Any idea why this particular plug-in might have a problem with sends?

Was a typo: should have said "does not occur". Dr-Fusion is the only VSTi that I'm sure I've had this problem with.muzycian wrote:I tried what you described but it works fine in PR4 here.

First chance I get. Might be tonight, might not, depending on family time pressures.muzycian wrote:Can you please email me a narrowed down musession file that demonstrates this problem?

Hey DaveL60,
The buzzy send issue is a LUNA bug.
This bug is fixed in LUNA PR5, coming soon now, may be this week
Note that while LUNA is still in PreRelease, there are no big bulk emails sent out about the PreReleases. (except to the registered users)
So please check out the MUTOOLS website and/or the MUTOOLS forum here on KVR Audio.
Thanks for your help with this buzz problem!
Cheers,
Jo

NOTE:
Dr Fusion does seem to give some hickups sometimes on my system.
I noticed already when i was testing Dr Fusion in the above context, i sometimes got hickups in the music, sounds like that the music is frozen for a fraction of a second.
I now did a clear test, and indeed Dr Fusion is causing it, also in other hosts than LUNA.
I can reproduce it via this midifile playing the default kit:
http://www.mutools.com/temp/drfusion-hickup.mid
Also on your systems?
I already emailed the creator.

Jo: When I was playing with this, I did some searching in the Instruments forum on Dr Fusion, and did see several messages indicating the sorts of problems you mentioned. My impression, from what I read, is that the developer's more interested in a replacement than a fix, and the replacement is not going to integrate the sample set into the instrument DLL, which seems to be some aspect of the problem.
OTOH, if this prompts some improvements in Dr Fusion, that would be a good thing, too.
