So, this tool can:
1) Control the various (or any) parameter of your vst instrument or effect from your MIDI controller even if the host program doesn't recognize the controller as a device other than sending note data?
I've got an Edirol PCR-M80 which has some fancy-shmancy buttens and sliders, and one host that I have doesn't allow me to use both the controller to play the keyboard AND recognize it as a control surface as well. Does this conflict with the note data at all when playing?
2) It couldn't, I am assuming, be used to control things like individual track volume/insert levels, etc, as far as host parameters go, is this correct?
3) How is the CPU load when running multiple isntances?
Thank you very much,
- Paul
edit: Would you just use your "Gain Suite" to control track volume? Thank you, again.
"Remote Control" question.

I am not sure I totally understand your question here... The Remote Control plugin is able to send MIDI CC messages from user interaction, other MIDI CC messages or automation as shown in this image.PaulG wrote: 1) Control the various (or any) parameter of your vst instrument or effect from your MIDI controller even if the host program doesn't recognize the controller as a device other than sending note data?
There should not be any conflict at all, it should be seen as a MIDI messages source. What host is it?I've got an Edirol PCR-M80 which has some fancy-shmancy buttens and sliders, and one host that I have doesn't allow me to use both the controller to play the keyboard AND recognize it as a control surface as well. Yes, that's the way to do it: the Gain Suite plugins can be used for this purpose, as shown in this tutorial. You can as well use other plug-ins to control other parameters of your audio tracks.2) It couldn't, I am assuming, be used to control things like individual track volume/insert levels, etc, as far as host parameters go, is this correct?

It's almost nothing: there is no audio processing, only MIDI messages, which occur at such a low rate that it's hardly noticeable.3) How is the CPU load when running multiple isntances?
I advise you to download and try the demo version to make your own opinion of the capabilities of this product.

How can it control other audio parameters of the audio tracks? Could you please give an example? (Is this covered on your site or in the demo docs?)
I am using Tracktion, which doesn't allow the use of the Edirol as a control surface at the same time as it's use as a MIDI keyboard, but this would seem really useful on quite any other host, it seems.
It would almost let you do that Sonar 6 "ACT" thing in just about any other host, or so it would seem like it.

As shown in the tutorials, the parameters can be routed to any parameter of any other effect on any audio track provided that the effect support MIDI CC messages. So if you wish you can just control any of our plugins (they all support MIDI control) with the remote control. The tutorial shows how to control the gain, but you can as well control a Parametric EQ, a Chorus etc.How can it control other audio parameters of the audio tracks? Could you please give an example? (Is this covered on your site or in the demo docs?)
This thing allows you to build your own user interface to control multiple parameters of many audio tracks within a single customized user interface. Just like a virtual control surface.
