Hi Hybernatione and all others
I have some questions about installing RMX.
1. is it posible to update/change the dll.file from a pc ??
I install RMX on a pc and then install the updates to ver, 1.5.1, then copy the new dll. file and
library to receptor ???
2. Can I delete and reinstall RMX on my receptor without any problems ???
( I have the sound library the wrong place)
I hope you or others can help me
have a nice day

ps. I hope your receptor are running again.

Sorry I didn't see your post until now. So DO have have access to ssh into your receptor as root, via Putty or something similar? If so, PM me and I can help you get un-f**ked upjespero wrote:don't do it, now everythings is f..k up,no sound

I've ask for a support ticket

What you tried to to I have done with a few others (not spectrasonics stuff), but you have to be able to get into protected folders and change permissions and such (as root), if you want to REPLACE a muse-installed dll with your own. It's risky, as you have found out.
Spectrasonics stuff is pretty complex...I'm guessing you are going to have to wait on muse for an official receptor.
But then again, as long as it's "user installable" and not iLok, in theory what you have tried should work if you treat the new version as complete "unsupported" and therefore:
1) completely uninstall Stylus from Receptor
2) move over ALL the RMX stuff from the PC (not just the DLL's)
3) muck with the registry to get things pointed to to the right directories
4) possibly use "rpm" (as root) to uninstall some other crap related to RMX before you start (I have noted that they have special prep-installers that come preloaded on Receptor). This may be the kicker and the reason you'll have to wait on Muse, not sure though.
sorry you got hosed...I've been there a few times myself

If you manage to get this working, please document it for us - there are a LOT of RMX users that want the 1.6 upgrade...

Hi thesoundsmith
I am not a computer freak, but I could see that the dll file was the same on the updatet version. RMX on my receptor is f... up ,
so i have to wait for help from muse, and wait to the upgrad/update
from muse to ver. 1.5.1
DON'T DO IT LIKE I DID'T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't give up... But I queried Eric at Spectra, he replied that it is totally a Muse issue.
SO OK, Muse, let's get with the program, please... (Not trying to be a pain, we jusr REALLY need this update.)
