Hey all I'm just back from NAMM and I'll spend some time this weekend wading through all the new forum posts. I'm going to try to post all the info in this thread. I may miss something so if you don't see a reply to your specific question by Monday, feel free to bump it.

And yes, more then ANY other question, EVERY Tracktion 3 thread has came to the same question: What are the upgrade paths BESIDES the Ultimate bundle one.

Answer that and you will have answered 90% of all questions asked the past three days. Seriously.

OK, first off they aren't available now. We will be sending the final DVDs to manufacturer by the end of the month. So you should see boxes appearing in stores by the end of February (if all goes perfectly).

So the versions. There are four.

Ultimate Bundle. Box. $319.99 List
Ultimate Bundle Upgrade. Box. $259.99 List
Project Bundle. Box. $129.99 List
Online Upgrade. Download. $??? Direct

The bundle contents are shown on our website and on the KVR new item. So the Ultimate Bundle and Ultimate Bundle Upgrade are exactly the same but "successful authorization of the Tracktion 3 Ultimate Bundle Upgrade requires a valid Tracktion 2 or Tracktion 3 license (excluding trial or NFR licenses) that is properly registered under your account on Mackie's online system." That means you have to have a T2 license in your my.mackie.com account. If you have a T1 then you could upgrade to T2 via the online upgrade and then qualify for a T3 upgrade.

The online T3 upgrade pricing isn't set yet. Its obviously going to be less then the project bundle. The online upgrade only includes the software and all the Mackie Plug-ins (mixing and mastering tools including the new channel strip) but none of the other bundled plugs.

All versions are available world wide. Pricing will of course vary from country to country. So go to your favorite store and have them pre order it for you.

Oh right hardware bundle. T3 will eventually start to be bundled with various Mackie hardware. But that won't start until shortly after T3 boxes ship so at this point we aren't announcing the details about what will be included with each hardware bundle and when that will start. More info will come on that shortly.

Oh yeah, there will also be a web page coming soon with the complete list of new features for T3. Obviously our web page right now is just a general T3 page.

And yes, two items that were added based on feedback from the initial preview at AES and the ensuing discussions here at KVR, are multi core/processor support and automation lock to clip.

An online upgrade for $??? suits me perfectly. If I have done the maths right, that equates to a price of SEKeehhhrrm.

Are there any free upgrade for those who purchase T2 just recently?

I'm not buying it yet, but seeing that some people here just bought their T2 in a month or so, so I'm curious.
