I connect my laptop PC to Receptor with a crossover cable. It works but I need to boot up Receptor and my machine and let them both sit there for at least 5 full minutes if not more before Receptor delivers the IP address to my laptop and they can connect. Is this normal? Sometimes it takes longer and sometimes I have to open the Network connection and "Repair" the network connection for it to work.
Receptor is in Crossover mode.

Make sure you start your receptor first then pc. You can quickly get the ip by doing what you say 'repair connection' I have desktop and it can do that if you don't let receptor load up first then switch your pc on so it can look for the ip.
