Managing sequences, copy/paste

Hi,

A couple of questions regarding sequence managing:

- is there a way to "de-link" sequences that are linked (e.g. have been copied without using the Alt-switch)?

- is there a way to paste a copied sequence a certain number, e.g. from insertion point 8 pieces forward?

- when copy/pastying manually, what determines how many bars the insertion point is shifted when using keyboard left and right arrows?

Hi,

A couple of questions regarding sequence managing:

In the Sequence Part context menu (right-click (osx: control-click) the Sequence Part), there is the Duplicate function. That does the job.

- is there a way to paste a copied sequence a certain number, e.g. from insertion point 8 pieces forward?

Not directly.

But if you paste it once, then control-drag to copy it.
Then select both parts, and control-drag = copy, makes 4 parts already.
Then select the 4 parts, and control-drag = copy, makes 8 parts.

So you can get there fast

Another funky trick:

If you paste a part, it is selected.
Now press the Arrow Right key, and the Position is set at the end of that part.
Now you can easily paste a second time.
Now press the Arrow Right key, and the Position is set at the end of that part.
Now you can easily paste a third time.
And so on

- when copy/pastying manually, what determines how many bars the insertion point is shifted when using keyboard left and right arrows?

The left/right arrows makes the position jump to these cue points:

-> Composition Start = 1.1.0000
-> Composition Loop Start
-> Composition Loop End
-> The last position where you have manually set the position line
-> The start of the selected Part
-> The end of the selected Part
-> The end of the last Part in the Composition
