East West Colossus and Receptor? Installation issues

Ok here is the situation. I am running East West Colossus on my Apple Mac G5 Quad in Logic . I also want to take it with me when I am gigging with Receptor. When I get to the Copy write challenge part of the installation process Colossus will not install because the password I used on my Mac has a different Hardware configuration then the Receptor. Do I have to uninstall it in my Mac to reinstall on the receptor? Or could I delete from my Native INstruments account and reapply for the password for the Receptor's Hardware configuaration. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
I'm going from memory here --
I think you need to generate a challenge code based on the individual 'machine ID' for Receptor (meaning, you can't re-apply the same 'response-code' from your Mac). One of the Receptor User Guide addendums talks about what you need to do to get the challenge code, and then get the response code back onto the Receptor
Regarding deauthorizing the Mac, you shouldn't have to do this. NI allows 2 authorizations on their products. Unless you have already authorized Colossus on another system, you should simply register a 2nd auth with NI.

The main problem with Mac installs is usuaklly getting the library transferred correctly. I have Colossus on my Receptor, but I installed originally on a PC. I will eventually install again on my Mac - it's my primary DAW - but there will be no problem - deauth the PC I installed on (at the web site) and authorize the Mac. You will be able to do something similar (at least you should be able to, barring complications with the website...)

Thanks gus for the quick responses. I did not know about the two authorizations per NI applications. I will try this out tommorow.
