I've been playing around with the X/Y feature of Zebra2 (which I love!), but when trying to do realtime automation in Logic with the Touch or Write mode on, I cannot seem to get it to write any automation data! I do see the value of what I'm trying to automate (in "view automation" mode) moving up and down but it's not writing anything. I can however use the mouse to draw in points to automate the little ball in the box but cannot do it in realtime. Is there a way to use this in realtime to automate within Logic? I hate using the mouse to draw automation and prefer to just "play" the synth in touch mode to automate everything. Any insight would be appreciated!

That was the first thing I verified when it wasn't working and it is definitely checked. Am I missing something here? Anyone else on Logic 7.1.1 have the ability to write automation using X/Y? It's not working for me. Maybe because I'm still on the demo? I am buying it, but don't get paid until Tuesday. I just want to be sure I can do realtime automation with it otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it the way I want.
EDIT:
I just closed out Logic and reopened it and it's working in my autoload. It's still not working in a song file I have saved and playing around with Zebra in, but it will write in my default. Strange...maybe there's some odd setting in my project I opened zebra in that's conflicting? I was freaking out because that's my favorite feature of Zebra2!

Lemme check in 7.1.1, hang on...
Edit: yep, works fine in 7.1.1 PPC as well.
When you click hold on the automation parameter flip menu in a track with automation enabled, select Zebra -> Core -> Do you see the X1, Y1, X2... Y4 parameters. If you record automation, are any of them bold?
Is any data recorded in your track automation folder or automation event editor?
Do you try this in a fresh Logic song (Option-click on File -> New).
Generally speaking, when you tweak a parameter and you see the automation value go up and down, but don't get any automation data written, it usually means you have automation disabled or the prefs don't include the automation you're trying to wite, but you say you've checked that. Can you automate other soft synth parameters ok on that track? Try putting Zebra on a different audio instrument and trying that, in case you've got something funky going on in Logic.
Failing all that, backup and trash your prefs, relaunch Logic and seeing if that helps.

Thanks beej! No matter what I try in the song I'm working in it won't automate. I can go to the Zebra2 Automation and see X1, Y1, X2, Y2, etc... and move the parameters in Zebra and it'll move the automation line but it just won't write. No big deal though since it WILL work when I load up my autoload file. There's gotta be something in that specific project that's conflicting and I wish I could pinpoint it. No big deal though since I know it's isolated to that individual save. Looking forward to finally getting the full version on Tuesday!
