How do I measure the frequency response of a filter use FreqAnalyst? Is there a mode where I can sweep a sine wave between two frequencies and use FreqAnalyst to measure the response?

It is very easy to measure the frequency response of a plugin: just feed it with white noise and measure its output with the FreqAnalyst plugin or the FreqAnalyst Pro plugin (the memory capabilities will help you compare your measurements).
Googling "white noise" should help you find an audio file containing white noise.

It depends on how this analog gear works...
With the method exposed in my previous post, you will be able to measure the frequency response of the gear as long as it has a linear behavior: any important non linear modification of the signal (such as distortion or compression) will make this kind of measurement useless.
