I don't think Computer Music posts reviews online, but I am sure you can buy it (soon) in any Kiosk througout Europe. Not sure if it's for sale in the US, I guess it is though, since I think it's the largest synthesizer related magazine in the world (maybe Future music is even bigger, not sure). And I bet Lennard will be posting something about it on his site soon too

Yo Lennard,thanks man.The synth has that real hardware sound and even my Roland Fantom has some troubles to produce so powerful sounds.One

Great Review!!! I feel the same way about Sylenth1. It's funny that they mention the Access Virus...When I was demoing Sylenth1 before purchase, it reminded me of the Access Virus, so I went over the Virus site and listened to demos and a/b them...then purchased Sylenth1 immediately afterwards...

Sylenth1 has upped my music quality 10 fold

Glad to see it getting some much deserved respect

That's a really fair, accurate review.

It's funny; I am still considering my next synth purchase, nearly agonizing over it. Just tried the Zebra demo, and wow, a lot to get you rhead around but the power is immediately clear and the interface and architecture are beautiful.

Then Sylenth comes callign with its seductive sound. Not that Zebra sounds average by any means! Far from it! But Sylenth hits with a palpability I've simply never heard in a softsynth (and not in many of the haardware VAs I've trid either!) And while I'm sure the Sylenth feature request list is going to explode as people flock to check out this well reviewed instrument, Lennard's conundrum is clear--keeping is it simple or endanger one of the things that makes iot so attractive--its basic feature set, its transparent ease of programming, the unashamed simplicity of it.

I own both Zebra 2 and Sylenth1, They are a great combination, I'd say go with both of em eventually. Since I bought Sylenth1 I've been using it non stop, the low cpu hit is a major plus. The presets are a good starting point. With Zebra 2 I didn't really delve into it until I bought the Transmission Sound Bank. It comes with tons of mseg presets and osc presets to get you started. They both have superior sound.

I find that I'll go to Sylenth1 first for any VA/Analog synth sounds, because I can use so many without worrying about cpu, plus it's got amazing sound quality. Zebra 2's sound can definitely hold up to sylenth1, though it's harder to program and therefore takes longer but is capable of more sounds.

All I can say is they make a great team...pretty much all I use next to Trilogy & Samplers...

Good luck on the decision you'll be happy with either.
