This came out of some playing last night where recording wasn't my focus, so it might not be fully thought through, but I'll throw it out anyway:

(Using LUNA Free on WinXP) When recording audio, I set a rack to monitor the audio input, then record my part and name the WAV file when the box pops up. At that point, the new audio part's target is the audio output, rather than the rack I was monitoring through when I recorded. Wouldn't it make more sense to have a newly recorded part target the rack that was active when it was recorded? Especially since there may be processing in that rack that's desired for that audio part? To me that would be both less confusing and less work, since the audio goes someplace sensible and the user doesn't need to go to the extra step of setting a target for that part.

Also, a related sort-of BR: when the box popped up to name the audio file, I accidently hit return without typing anything, leading to a part named ".WAV" -- it would probably be better if LUNA required at least one legal filename character to be supplied in that popup.

You're right! Thanks for spotting this!

Will be improved in the next version.

Will also be improved in the next version: if the inputted name is empty, then the original recording name is kept.

So it will stay something like Recording-20070525-155830.wav, if it would have been recorded just now ;)

Happy to help.

And if that doesn't cue the user to give it a meaningful name, nothing will. :)
