New Receptor, same annoying problem

Hey there,
Firstly i would like to say that i have been using a Receptor Pro for the last 3 months on a tour and have had a pretty good experience with it but we were plagued with problems using Kontakt 2. Amongst other things it caused random resets of the receptor (NOT GOOD in a live situation!) and would often crash when doing certain tasks like editing loop points and even something as simple as trying to delete an instrument from a multi (this just happens randomly, not all the time).
Now I liked the receptor so much though that i bought a standard model for myself but alas I'm having the same old problems with Kontakt (both versions are 2.1.1.001). Anyone able to get this working without any issues? Giving me headaches. Would perhaps update 1.6 solve some of these issues? Its pretty much unusable because its so unreliable. Its important that i be able to use this because (in theory) i would be able to use my Gigastudio library (although i must say that it usually crashed the system when i tried to play imported giga patches). Now if only GVI would work on the receptor... (nudge nudge)...
Cheers,
James

I can say that Kontakt 2.2 (from K4) on OS 1.6 (beta) is much much more stable than 2.1.1 on 1.5. It's not perfect, but in the 3 weeks I've had it I have only had one crash. The bug where if you didn't "unload" K2 before shutdown, you have flakeyness (clicking, resetting) after startup is definitely gone. And the DFD streaming is SOOOO much better, I can finally use the huge SampleTekk pianos on Receptor (and have CPU left over for other things running simultaneously).Atardecer wrote:Hey there,

Hybernation pretty much said it all...
You should definitely install 1.6 as there are some major bug fixes that have drastically improved Kontakt 2 performance.
And you should also make sure you are using the 1.1 version of Kontakt as they keep fixing bugs as well. What can you say... the great and terrible thing about software is that its so...
soft.
Cheers

Hi Bryan,
Is that a typo ('1.1 version of Kontakt')? Did you mean Kontakt version 2.2?
Thanks,
KTL
