Thus far all I can say is it works, doesn't appear to crash or anything in FL 7.
"-new switch to extand AM range in Lips" sporks some of my weirdo animation schemes I used to use but, as I cannot represent them in a patch I can't demonstrate what I mean - - good news is I found a way around it.
Seems to work fine in Usine 2.64, too, but there's a 3.x version out nowadays that I don't have the license for yet but I imagine it's more, not less, compatible.

thanks runagate!
But do you confirm the reduced CPU usage?
BTW the new switch if to make new horn sounds not to improve the existing presets

I just tried DL twice -- both times the zip
file is "corrupted." Anyone else with this
problem? My dial-up is _very_ slow, but the
DL apparently completed (full-size).

Hey, I downloaded this the other day but completely forgot about it, sorry...
I just did a quick test loading the 1.2 factory bank in both 1.2 and 1.2.0.2 side by side and there's indeed a noticeable reduction in cpu usage for 1.2.0.2, variable from preset to preset.
On the other hand, most of the presets I've tried sound the same but a few of them sound quite different i.e. "ENS Brass in Attack" or "HBR the Rimbalzo"...
Otherwise Modelonia 1.2 has always been rock solid for me and I haven't experienced any issues with 1.2.0.2 so far either (I tested in eXT and Phrazor btw).

Like Juanjo I am testing in eXT and Phrazor and am also seeing a reduction in Modelonia beta CPU usage.
My gosh, liqih, what have you done? I've always been impressed with Modelonia's sound, but browsing the new .fxps I was stunned. Nice work.

Using Cantabile Lite as a host, I'm still getting corruption of the preset name (in the preset selector) if I move the pluck to sustain slider. It's not as bad as it was previously.
EnergyXT 1.4x standalone as well. It doesn't show on the selected patch, but if you go to the patch selector you'll see it.
I reported this before, and I think at that time, it showed the preset name scrambling on the selected patch name as well, so it's improved.
Edit: it's also crashing Project 5 V2.5. I don't believe there's a demo out for this yet, so it may not yet be reproducible. Here's what I get:
AppSignature: project5.exe
AppVer: 2.5.1.252
ModName: modelonia_full1.2.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 00002932
Just to make sure this is the correct DLL, I rescanned after moving the old modelonia DLL out of the VST tree (it seems there was some confusion, as the VST pick list referred to the beta, not the original - but the above error message doesn't). After forcing the new DLL, the error message was similar although different offset
AppSignature: project5.exe
AppVer: 2.5.1.252
ModName: modelonia_full1.2..0.2_beta.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 00002f63

Was playing around with Modelonia and found this cool noise. Kinda like a train whistle trying to sound like a harmonica. Or a harmonica trying to sound like a train whistle.
Any way, gave a few bananas to the monkey and she wrote a train song for me.

Hope the harmonica/train noise is of interest to someone, Modelonia is for sure a surprising synth. It kinda freaks me out sometimes.

thanks for this bob,
just the harmonica/train noise is a bit buried in the mix, I would suggest you to make a 3 minutes version with drums and bass at a much lower volume (and maybe filtered) so that the banjo and the harmonica/train will show up in their psychadelic beauty, <grin>
