Wow the more I read about this product, the more it seems to good to be true. If i were to purchase this product I would be looking at running Vst's and using onboard effects for my clavinet at the same time. My question is, is it possible to have the clavinet coming out of the spdif out at the same time as my VSTs are coming out of the audio outs? Can i plug an spdif out into a guitar amp?

are you talking a real clav or a VSTi clav ???
If your talking VSTi there are plenty of great guitar amp modelers to put in line with it ...or even put the real clav through the guitar or line input on Receptor and then run it through the amp modeler

I would be using a real clav. I was just wondering if I could have the signal from the clav coming out of the spdif's and have my vst's come out of the audio outputs.

Spdif is a digital connector. I doubt your Clav has that. And not many guitar amps has it.The only one i can think of right of the bat is the Line6 Pod XT Pro.therealmuffin wrote:No Im not quite sure...thanks

What you CAN do is download the manual(s) and decide for yourself if it will do you job. I waited a LOT of years to get a box to do what this does. Another local keys guy that has emulated my setups for years (I used to give him my DX7 banks) looked at it and deceided it would not work for him. But when showed him a second multi patch set up his way, he ghas started saving his pennies...
The Receptor is NOT simply a VST synth - it configures many different ways, to accommodate many different styles and sound needs. When thinking of how best to configure a multi patch for live performance, CLEVERNESS COUNTS. Every time I have said, "OK, I can't do this, I guess," baout a week later I realize I can do it THIS way - and voila...

I also have a real Clavinet, if you want to use the receptor fx with it then you will have to put it in guitar input on the front. To be honest I would'nt do it. If your lugging a real clav like me, then i just put it through a rack valve preamp to boost the signal then send it straight into the desk, i also use a Boss NS2 gate and crybaby.
Also, I have the Scarbee clavinet, and while it sounds great straight and using the VKFX, I have tried manual wah vst's and they sound poor, and i even ran the scarbee clavinet into my crybaby and it did'nt sound right either. Stick with the VKFX and you will love it.

you must be doing something wrong because there is nothing wrong with the Scarbee library.c3boy wrote:I have tried manual wah vst's and they sound poor, and i even ran the scarbee clavinet into my crybaby and it did'nt sound right either. Stick with the VKFX and you will love it.
