thx for the call - do eXT or AM give an error message?
thelizard wrote:dcdc absolutely freaked out on me. it's a good thing I'm in the habit of creating limiters on every track when experimenting. as soon as a clicked "listen" all of my vu's went absolutely red and the sound completely fuzzed out. bug, or... am I missing the point?
Ho Hum.. I haven't seen that behaviour at all.. I'll check the code.
What was the input, and which preset? listen should just give you the input through the EQ...

Which host?

Anyone else having this prob?

I've had issues with FL before, I'll try to remember what I did. I'm assuming it's related to 'thelizard''s bug.

I'm working on them!
Let me know any other issues...

OK, I've dl'ed the demos or free versions of eXT, AudioMulch and Usine. Work pipe has FL d/l blocked.

eXT - I get a perfect load.
Usine - I put the dll in the \Demo\Vst folder, it has been recognised can be pulled into the workspace.
AudioMulch - it gets recognised, but not loaded - so I have an issue there. I might get in touch with Ross...

Work continues...

@Chase
If you put FL into 'constant size buffers' mode (or whatever they call it) so that the plug is guaranteed a certain number of samples each time, does that improve things? I seem to recall that was where I had caused problems before. I can't see it in the code, but please could you try it just to knock it off the list :)

Ok tried it again in eXT - now it's working, weird :P (But it takes some time to open the gui. no bigi. cool gui btw :D )
Usine - i use the latest beta (3.20 beta 1), maybe it's working in the latest stable version (3.05)...

see the pdf - yes the UI does take a while to open: decompressing 27 frames of duck can take a while!

Usine: yes I used 3.05.

Good, getting there! You getting good audio from them?

I've mailed Ross about AM.

yes, very good (and loud) audio :D

yes, TheChase described the issue better... sorry for the vagary. I'm using fl7 on vista home premium.

tz: NP :) Are you using fixed or variable buffers? what happens if you change the setting?

I was just coming to report the Audiomulch problem. In eXT v1.4, it loads, but the graphics seem to misbehave, the duck compression graphic seemed to not always work.

Similarly, Pangloss does not load in Audiomulch. Worked fine in eXT, and EQ22 worked fine last year in Mulch.

I've been in contact with Ross - I think it might be due to me adopting VST2.4 earlier this year, rather than just being 2.3 - I might have broken some of the opcode transfers..

pigs.

Don't know if it'll help in your troubleshooting, but Audio Damage's plug-ins are all 2.4 and work in Mulch, although they use c++ rather than Delphi, so I don't know if that would make a difference.

Thanks Ben!

This solves the AudioMulch problem, and hopefully should curb the FL problems - please try the new version as ppl have time!
