Receptor in combination with MOTU 828mkII firewire interface

I noticed that some people here on this board use this specific combination, and in the near future i will own the 2 of them myself, so i was wondering how you connect them together.

i'm guessing you'll connect both the digital ADAT and SPDIF connection from the receptor to the soundcard for extra channels to be sent back to the computer. MIDI can be sent via 828mkII MIDI or via uniwire. audio to receptor, via uniwire OR ADAT/SPDIF. How does this work with clocking the 2 devices together? can you just connect the 2 like i just said and it will work? or should you use ADAT Sync or word clock from the mkII? I know there is no input for these two options on the receptor, so how will the 2 digital devices sync properly? through uniwire?

any thoughts on this topic are welcome.

Receptor should be set up to sync to Motu SPDIF and Motu should run on internal clock.
