Prob dumb question: where do I put my VSTis for Luna Free?

I'm trying to get my laptop (a fairly old P4 2.6GHz) up and running to use live. Just playing a backing track and up to 3 VSTis being played live. I tried installing my main sequencer, Cubase, + V-Station and Halion on it but Cubase just keeps crashing and I have no idea why.

So I looked for an alternative and came across Luna Free. I've installed it but I can't figure out where I need to put the VSTis so that Luna can see them? There doesn't seem to be a folder for VST plug-ins or anything. I'm I missing something obvious?

Don't have the software here to play with at work, but I'm pretty sure there's a setup parameter somewhere to identify the folder for VSTs. I know you can aim LUNA where you want it, because all of my DAW programs share a single VSTi folder in the Tracktion folder tree, and LUNA has not trouble at all dealing with that. This tutorial may prove helpful in getting some of the setup details right. You can probably just arbitrarily create a folder (e.g., C:\VST), put the VST DLLs there and aim LUNA at that.

LUNA is a nifty little program, and it's absolutely wonderful for just getting an idea captured quickly. I think you'll like working with it once you get past the initial setup niggles.

LUNA doesn't tell you where to install your software -- you tell LUNA where you've installed it. Much more polite, yes? Under the "File" menu button is "VST Plugin Manager". You use this to "Add VST Plugins" -- point it at a folder and it will recursively search that folder for plugins.

Thanks guys, I've got my VSTis up and running now. :)
