Sylenth1 NRPN Novation Remote Support?

Hi,

I have a novation stationZero SL and I've been creating templates to share with everyone for the Sylenth. However I am running out of buttons because I would like to control the Central Parameter (Appeg, Distortion, EQ, Phase etc..) using the novation remote. Between the Oscillators and Mixers, LFOs there aren't enough CC numbers to assign everything. I think NRPN or RPN would fix this problem but I do not think the VST understands these types. Or maybe I dont understand these types Smile? Can anyone help me with this problem?

I see that RPN is supported in the z3ta so I guess its safe to assume that the Sylenth will get this support very soon?

Speaking of Midi, what's the "step size" for the waveform selection in the oscillator section? I want to use a button on my midi controller (RemoteSL Zero) to toggle waveforms. With a step size of 1, I have to press many times to switch waveshape. With 15-18, one press is enough, but sometimes I have to press the button twice.

Why are you using MIDI CC for Remote SL? Why would you not create an Automap template to access VST Automation directly? Or does Sylenth not support VST Automation?

Yes use Automap universal, then you can have as many controls assigned to Sylenth as you want. I have an automap setup for Sylenth to control just the main controls but you can add as many pages on the SL as you want, maybe a page per FX. Make sure you have the newest SL soft and firmware as the previous one only allowed 3 pages but now you can add as many as you want. Sylenth does however act a bit strange sometimes saying that you have 5 oscillators selected when you actually have 6 on the Sylenth interface but nothing too drastic. Should hopefully be sorted out with the new update coming soon (With luck)

How did you setup the waveform selection on the SL using Automap Universal? I can't seem to get it working as I want.

When the VSTi comes up wrapped in the AM GUI at the bottom you have the option for the endless rotary encoders to change the range of the selection so if there is 6 oscillator waveforms to choose from then make the selection range from 0-5 or 0-11 if you wanrt to make it less responsive (so for 0-11 the waveform will change for every 2 clicks of the encoder. Or you can assign it to a normal pan pot and then you have to turn it in its full circle to change from the 1st waveform to the sixth.

hi,

have the same problem that i'm running out of buttons (edit: = assignable controllers) but i use cme bitstream as hardware controller. so there's no automatic mapping. does anyone know how to solve this problem? perhaps with nrpn or rpn?
