Receptor Pro Jr. & Latency

I am really interested in receptor but I have one major concern...Latency. I don't want to make a $2500.00 purchase and end up with 15 ms of latency and feel the lag while playing. My intentions are to be able to sync receptor up to my MV8800, run the receptor outputs to my genz-benz amp and print (record) my playing.
Can any of the receptor users out there give me some feedback on their playing experiences? Probably the biggest hog I would be using on receptor would be BFD 2 (hopefully). TIA

Did I ask the wrong question? My forum search on latency only brings up the issue in passing on most threads...

I've had the Receptor Pro for a few months. I find the response ok. About as stable as from a well set up DAW, maybe better but its hard to say. I play keyboards. My issue with realtime playing of softsynths has been not the latency but the stability of the timing. My experience with any softsynth setup has been that while it is perfectly playable, I have the sensation of the keys feeling too fluid underneath my fingers meaning that my sense is the response is a little shaky and changing so that my rhythm doesn't feel as solid as when playing a piano say or a hardware synth. The Receptor gives me that same feeling though not excessively and better than most. But like I said I get that feeling no matter what softsynth setup I have played up to now so maybe I'm just more sensitive or maybe its in my head since others are not bothered by it. I can at least say you won't feel the lag as you put it as the initial response is quick. Beyond that if you find playing softsynths from a computer in realtime to be ok in good circumstances then you'll probably find Receptor works fine for you.

Hey Jon,

Thanks for the response...I have found playing soft synths from a computer to be acceptable in a few exceptional setups, but I really the fact that receptor is a computer w/a specific purpose. I watched the BFD/Receptor BFD Turbo drum video and there seems to be very little issue, if none at all, with latency or responsive. In all actuality the video was quite impressive for me.
This leads me to another question, does receptor accept midi sync, i.e., can it be a slave?
