Hi everyone-

Just wondering if MFM2 is officially released. The web page says so, but I never saw a sticky on the forum, just links buried in other messages.

I noticed some problems posted relating to Macs. On my 2.3G G5 with 10.4.11, I have no problems with crashes. Deleted, moved, created many MFM2s with looping tracks with no problems. Using Live 7.01.

Great work...

I have had one issue a number of times today - with both Stylus RMX open, and the MFM2 gui open, and switching between them and fiddling, fairly soon MFM stops being able to be topped and always stays below the RMX gui, and the close window button stops working.

I have to re-instanciate MFM to get it to respond properly to window events again when this happens...

Sorry, I meant to send the notification today, but this time it's 5000 emails spilled over several lists that I have to combine somehow without too many duplicates and hopefully without too many spamblocks...

However, before sending a notification, I tried to find the cause for some weird crashes and indeed detected a problem on OS X when permissions are scrambled. I'll most likely be able to upload a new version tomorrow and *then* send the notification...

So, yes, it's out but the notification is delayed for a good cause...

Hmmm... 26th... but then... marriage on 27th... hotel on 28th... back 29th...

So at least 29th I'd say...

Hehehe, true... but her band is releasing a new album soon and gonna be gigging all over the place... that's way worse than KVR

These might be separate issues actually, the close button thing has been happening with all u-he products in live for a little while (I think I've seen it mentioned here somewhere). It can still be closed from the plugin box in Live though, so that's probably why there hasn't been much complaining.

Edit: I forgot to say, MFM2 is a great plugin, and I'm really impressed at all the new stuff that has appeared between pre-release and final, it's actually like a 2.5 or 3.0 update for most products. It was definitely worth the wait!

Btw... V2.0.1 is up... contains a note for users of VST Mac... this allegedly solves problems with a) permissions (i.e. "make dafault" crashing on some systems) and b) weirdness when instantiating MFM in Live, or closing the gui.

On Windows Vista some extra crash security comes in for users who use Vista's overly picky security modes.

I'm compiling a mailing list now to get out the news...

P.S.: Just sending out mails to everyone who downloaded the beta/preview back then... that were quite a lot... after filtering out all invalid addresses and doubles from the customer list, 4000+ remained... guess who'll be spamblocked for another two weeks
