Ok,I have some of the older vsti's from Arturia (CS-80, etc.) and i have been reading up on the cd check built into the plugin. i was thinking since the receptor is connected via ethernet, could i setup up my CD drive on my PC so it can be shared with my receptor.
I know this can be done with other PCs and PC\Mac combo's, but Im not sure with the specialized ver. linux on receptor

Hi DJ B,
The CD has to be 'mounted' on the same machine you are installing on. Unfortunately, the USB option to mount a CDRom isn't working (for installing SW), so this option won't work either).
If you don't mind removing the case on Receptor, and are relatively saavy with PC/Linux, you can install the 'older' Arturia plugs by attaching a CDRom to the IDE bus. See this method here.
I've installed Arturia plugs and many other PC installs using this method.
Best Regards,
Kevin L
