Thanks in advance!
Could I hear some people's songs that mainly use Zebra?

I'm thinking of buying Zebra, so I want to hear how some of you use it in your own songs. (I've already heard the demos on the website)
Thanks in advance!

Yeah I actually just found that topic haha.
Now, I'm gunna hijack my own topic.
How is the learning curve on zebra? I'm pretty new to synthesis, so I'm looking for a synth with tons of presets to keep me happy as I learn to create my own patches. Also, I want the next synth I buy to be my "go-to workhorse" synth, so does zebra meet that criteria for anyone?

It's amazing the sound that you can get out of Zebra with just one osc and a filter.
You can do a lot with simple things, or you can make it as complex as your cpu can handle.

All synths are Zebra, and all the synth sounds are patches from my preset bank (check sig)

Although Zebra2 is very complex, the "learning curve to complexity" ratio is very low because Zebra is so logical (IMO, compared with Tera and Massive). You can/should program Zebralette first - it's there to help you learn everything about the oscillators without getting sidetracked by all the other features of the main program. Enjoy!Arkaic wrote:How is the learning curve on zebra? I'm pretty new to synthesis, so I'm looking for a synth with tons of presets to keep me happy as I learn to create my own patches. +1 Very nice! I'm impressed the same instance of zebra is making both the low and high pitched sound.djsubject wrote:www.skirize.adbe.org/z2-d&b.mp3

I think the learning curve is rather high for z2... if I were you I'd get it and play with zebralette until you get the hang of it..
I've been using it since early beta and im still learning things about Z2.
its worth it though.. so worth it..

I also highly recommend beej's transmission presets. Included in them are tons of template based patches that fit the model of many traditional types of synthesis. Using those you can really get a handle on how FM synthesis varies from traditional subtractive synthesis.
