Hi all

Do any of you know of a utility or even a procedure in wavelab or sound forge to change the number of samples to a specific number?
Basically I would like to select the file and then put in the number of samples I want. This is for making single cycle waveforms for a project.

How quickly do you need it? I could probably knock something up which would do just that for you, if no one else comes up with anything

Hey ..that would be cool..did not expect that. well.as soon as you can I guess, but I'm not going to pressure you or anything.

You can just manually type in the selection what you want in any of those editors. There will be a requester box somewhere in the menu for it. Then you can either just crop the selection or copy and paste to a new file.

----I'd swear I did that, like all the files had to have the same name, it just numbered them from 01 to 99 or something. And I don't think it was an extra program. Maybe you umm, high-light all the files, then select rename, and just say like "drumbeat01", and it'll automatically rename and number them through 99 by itself ? Don't get mad if that doesn't work, but I'd swear it was something like that.

On a related topic, if you ever find yourself needing to rename a bunch of files and want to have a lot of control over how that happens, download the donationware called "The Rename"
