I read somewhere this is a known bug...has it been fixed yet?
It worked fine last night and when i turned it on this morning, I get an endless loop:
Startup Failed---Entering Recovery Mode <followed by>
Receptor Recovery: Restart?(Push to enter)
Restarting <followed by>
Startup Failed---Entering Recovery Mode
I have a rev c with Komplete 4 Inside
Thanks

You may need the "Log file fixer", although perhaps it's too late now to be pro-active:
Under some rare circumstances the possibility exists that the Receptor System Log could completely fill Receptor's operating system partition, making it so Receptor cannot boot. If this were to happen, the system would get stuck forever, looping in Recovery Mode. The only solution once this happens is maintenance at Muse's facility. This "Log Fixer" download restricts the log file from exceeding 32MB and should be applied to all Receptors pro-actively. The download is available from:

Hi, I had the same problem with my rev C one year and a half ago. Muse suggested to verify the audio card , which, (on rev C) is a vertical card inserted in a slot and tightened by 2 screws to the rear panel . When I looked at it, it apparently hadn't move, but i unscrewed it, i removed it from the slot and put it back and retightened the screws...and, WAOOOH, the problem was gone ! Weird, but they told me this was maybe no coincidence, because this card seems very "sensitive"...You can try that, and maybe also verify that your rams are tightly inserted to...MyMusic42 wrote:i installed the fix, but the problem is back. i have a case open wth muse support
Another clue, maybe...Try to start the receptor with an external screen plugged in it (I mean, not the remote control on a mac or PC).Enter the menus and verify that the time and date are OK. Sometimes a wrong time or date (or both of course) can cause such problems...
Good luck

thanks for all the suggestions. muse support actually made a lot of the same suggestions. turns out my problem was the USB cables. i started using a new set of USB cables (16 feet in length vs. the normal 3 or 4). the cables work fine as far as transmitting power to my MIDI controllers, but they don't allow the muse to start up.
so the problem is resolved. thanks!
