I spoke with Andreas at the NAMM show, and he definitely wants Superior 2.0 working on Receptor, in addition to EX Drummer, as soon as they release 2.0 EXdrummer falls into our camp, and we're going to try supporting it in v1.7 software using Direct Install technology.

Drum on!

Thank you for the reply. I do not have v1.7. How can I get that? Do you anticipate any problems with upgrading to 2.0 from Alternate Mode's version. I do not have any discs of Superior. It was all pre-loaded on the receptor when I bought it.

Thanks again

Well, my first post here, and I apologise for resurrecting an old thread.

A couple of questions:

What is the current time-line for support of Superior 2.0?
Is the Toontrack Solo host also (going to be) supported by Receptor?

Hope somebody can help out.

Hi, this is my first post here too, and I basically have the same question: Does anybody (Muse, Toontrack, users) know when Superior 2.0 will be installable on Receptor? Thanks!

Post

Superior 2.0 is very important to support but it is going to require a change in our operating system, this is a current project but I do not have a date.

Thanks Rick for the news, and thanks to batgab for the bump! Here's hoping that the OS alteration will go smoothly.

OK, a follow-up question: This KVR page (http://www.kvraudio.com/get/835.html) says Superior 2.0 is "User Installable". However, the installation instructions seem geared for the previous version, not 2.0, but still..."Superior". So what is the story? Is 2.0 installable on Receptor or not? Is this web page erroneous? Thanks in advance for clarifying this.

Superior 2.0 cannot currently run on Receptor.

Hi, me again. Is there any kind of guesstimate as to when Superior Drummer 2.0 might be installable on Receptor? If it's gonna happen fairly soon I can hang in there with my currently-impotent 2.0, but if it's gonna be several months I'd like to know so I can go buy some other drum s/w to tide me over.

Thanks!

I do not currently have a date I can provide you.

Well, here I am bumping this ancient thread once again.

This time last year [well, Jan 08] at least we had a discussion at NAMM reported - even if that discussion apparently never bore any fruit. I do wonder if Muse and Toontrack exchanged any words this year?!

So where are Muse Research with Superior 2.0 now? I know I can't expect a timeline in the answer (if anyone deigns to answer at all), but can we be told if it is ever going to be worked on? Is it a priority, or is it filed in the 'too difficult' basket? We were told 8 months ago [by MaxReverb] of a required 'change in the OS' - has work on that change been commenced?

So there you have it: a shameless bump, and a kind of illiterate rant all in one. You'll have to forgive me; I'm a drummer.

See you again in 6 months for more of the same I fear. Perhaps Superior 3.0 will have shipped by then.

I'm with you, Spottyscotty! Ties right in with my other recent thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=242391

Something's gotta give here pretty soon...
