Audio Interface and Sequencer Recs

I bought a new Windows XP DAW (Quad Core Xeon 2.4 w/ 4 gig RAM and 4 drives etc).

I'm looking for recs for the Seq and interface. I was looking at Sonar 7.0 and the Alesis IO 14 but got cold feet.

I am now looking at a MOTU 828 MK II and Sonar 7.

Any recs for using a Receptor, another midi device and the DAW sequencer VSTs to lay down audio and keep it low latency?

I am looking for low latency and stability. CueMix interests me but I don't know if that is audio only and concurrent midi stream are out-of-synd?
