Hi there,
well I used to use ZRev just fine, but all of a sudden it crashes my host every time I try to open in it ableton or Logic. I think it's only been since I re-installed it on leopard.
The crashes happen every single time and both on 10.5.1 and now on 10.5.2.
I checked the leopard hotfix thread but didn't see anything for ZRev. Is there anything I can do to make it work again?
Thanks

Please create the following directory:
MacHD/Library/Audio/Presets/ZRev/
As soon as this path exists the crashes will go away.

Excellent, thank you! Was that because the 2.2 installer didn't install the path whereas previous versions (from which I upgraded) did so?Urs wrote:Please create the following directory:

Anyways, I just created the path and worked. Awesome!
By the way, I just noticed that I actually went and created this directory: MacHD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/ZRev/ rather than what you suggested above (I wasn't looking at it at the same time). But it does work, so I just left it . I assume that's ok?
cheers

Ooops, yep, it's gotta be with "u-he"!
And you're right, the installer forgets to create the path. I've already fixed it here (no patch = no crash), but it has to wait a bit until the next official update comes out...

I had this problem too but worked out to change the file path. For some reason, all my folders, incl. my ZRev backup files dont' have any presets in them and I cant' remember whether they should or not - can anyone please tell me if I'm missing something? I've already uninstalled Zebra on my Mac and reinstalled it and no ZRev presets. Also, any literature on what the various settings mean? I am getting used to the sounds by ear but I like to read manuals and diagrams when I can
Thanks Urs for doing such a sick sounding reverb!

Hi Brandon,
There was a thread a while ago where the same question was asked and Urs responded with a super-mini-not-readme readme. You can check it out for yourself here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=166898.
Please keep in mind ZRev isn't supported and there are no publicly available presets for it. You're pretty much stuck to twiddling knobs and flipping pulldowns with the rest of us to hear anything we like.
Don't forget to send Urs and values for Ts and As that don't exhibit metallic ringing. I'm still hunting myself once in a while...

Yo... I'm actually contemplating to make it an official part... I'm currently trying to get some things baked in there... maybe...
