Sylenth1, Aftertouch in Live?

I recently switched from Cubase3 to Live 7 so it may be that I'm just looking in the wrong place.

I can pull up the automation lanes for Sylenth1, and I have things like Osc Detune, Phase, LFO gain and so on. I also have "ModWheel" in the list. However, I can't for the life of me find Aftertouch anywhere. I tried recording aftertouch with my UF keyboard, and while Sylenth1 did respond, increasing LFO1 and LFO2 gain as I had set it to do in the modulation section, I got no recorded automation. Indeed, Live seemed to record it as ModWheel data :?

Anyone using Sylenth1 and Live 7? How do you automate channel aftertouch?

Well, I've spent some more time with this because I really needed to use AT. This thread helped me figure it out:

Apparently, things like Pitch Bend, Aftertouch and other midi messages are hidden under a little icon with an "E" on it in the lower-left corner of the screen. Not very obvious at first sight. Actual synth parameters that you can automate, including the mod wheel, are much easier to find. I assumed you'd automate pitch bend and aftertouch from the same place as you automate the mod wheel, but for some reason they are placed in completely different parts of the user interface.

The reason for that is that Pitchbend and Aftertouch are MIDI messages, just like Note On/Off, Velocity and all 128 ControlChanges for example. MIDI automation is NOT the same as VST automation.

The VST automation controller list automates only the knobs on Sylenth1 and since Velocity and Aftertouch aren't knobs, they can not be automated that way. You need to edit/record their MIDI values.
