I'm considering buying a Behringer BCR2000 http://www.behringer.com/BCR2000/index.cfm?lang=ENG
I wonder how assigning controllers to software instruments in general and specifically to Sylenth works.
Does it depend on the host (DAW/Sequencer) or on the plug-in?

I use a Novation Remote SL61 and the Automap software assigns everything automatically. I then go into the automap editor and change to my preferance. Have you looked at the Novation Nocturn? It uses Automap technology also.

The Nocturn looks interesting

It's 99€ instead of 139€ for the Behringer. The Behringer has 3 times as many knobs but if the workflow is handled intelligent enough with the novation Nocturn then this could be more of an advantage than more knobs.
And it'S certainly more elegant.

I'm going to check the review of Remote Zero SL in S&R mag which I didn't read yet.
Thanks for the hint.

One question though: Is the procedure (the auto-mapping and manual mapping) different depending on the host application?
