I/O Setup - MIDI

Hi Folks, I was trying to make an external keyboard to play the SynthMaster sounds, but I didn't get. The keyboard is ok with the MIDI cables and in the I/O SETUP in the dropdown list it was picked "Roland Serial Midi Input", Channel 1, but I don't get to play a sound.

Any help on that?
