A lot of communication floats about on here, and I thought it would be more economical if users were able to contact their friends/collaborators/whatever, in a few clicks or less.
I'm not suggesting that KVR should head in the direction of Facebook or MySpace, but I think a contacts/friends list would be very useful.
Perhaps a link (Contacts or Friends) could appear in the 'drop-down' menu when you sign-in. When you click on the link, you will be taken to a page where all your chosen contacts are present, along with all available means of communication (PM, e-mail, IM, website, etc.) - perhaps represented by little icons to prevent cluttering?
