Uniwire not working

I have a crossover cable to my PC running windows xp. I have the network setup as a static IP address for the receptor instead of the crossover setting, which seems to work more reliably with the receptor remote and accessing receptor's hard drive. However, when I try to start uniwire by clicking the box in the setup tab it stays for a second and then kicks out. Any ideas as to what went wrong? I have recently upgraded the receptor to 1.7, but this made no difference.

I think, though I'm not certain, that Uniwire is "automatic". I have used it in Logic Express and simply find it as an instrument in Logic Express. I can be using Receptor as a midi device on a midi track and then instantiate it on a LE instrument track and Receptor shifts to Uniwire. I don't think you need to turn Uniwire "on" in Receptor - maybe since the 1.6 OS? Good luck -

Uniwire can only be enabled when you load a Uniwire plugin. If you use Logic there's a step by step video in the Muse Research Theater.
