Has anyone attempted to get the Sonnox Oxford Reverb or EQ working on the Receptor? I tried copying the DLL into the unsupported plugins folder but the install fails. Is it possible to edit the registry and get it working? It uses iLok for copy protection.
thanks

THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THIS UP! I spoke with a couple of guys from Sonnox at the Musik Messe, and they were very interested in checking out Receptor. I asked our UK sales agent to give them a call, and he was willing to drive down to Oxford with a unit to show it to them and do some experiments... I have a note on my desk reminding me to send an email over to get this going.
YOU can actually help the cause by contacting Sonnox and asking for Receptor support - that helps them justify the time to investigate it. If it is the same case as Antares Auto-Tune, it is probably 10 minutes of work and then all we need to do is create the installer.
We'd love to have the Sonnox plugins working, and we are definitely interested in working with them...
All the best

As I already have the Sonnox stuff (and it's iLok) AND they sound great, it would be really useful to have them on Receptor. I'll drop them a line and see what they say.

PS I live a few miles from Oxford, shall I take my Receptor to them?

I thought Direct Install was supposed to make these situations of waiting for Muse to create an installer go away .. what's going on with Direct Install?? Wasn't a 'general' beta happening in June?

This is a different issue involving PACE. For it to work on Receptor, the developer needs to click on an option for compatibility when they encrypt. Takes about 5 minutes to do, literally, and then they will be Receptor compatible. At that point, if they make a Windows installer, then yes, Direct install can install it.gizmostatic wrote:I thought Direct Install was supposed to make these situations of waiting for Muse to create an installer go away .. what's going on with Direct Install?? I have them up and running on the receptor .. did some reverse engineering on the needed dll's .. there are some runtime visual basic stuff needed (forgive me if the terms are wrong, I'm still a musician and not a programmer).
The gui isn't responding very fast, but workable ..
With a program called depency walker, you can see what dll's the receptor needs (ofcourse first check it in windows).. registry editing isn't needed (as far as I recall).
With all the other great stuff, I don't use sonnox on the receptor that much .. I do use them a lot when mixing in my daw computer.
