FM8 (& others) program change... simple question

Hi all!

I know that what I am going to ask has a simple answer, but I've been trying to figure it out for ages so I decided to post this in order to get help.

I play live with a snapshot where I've got three FM8 loaded for three diferent songs. I would like to "unify" these 3 FM8 in one single track (in order to have 2 free tracks and avoiding wasting too much cpu) and send program changes to the FM8 to change the sounds from one song to another. The same with Absynth.

Could anybody help me in doing that? Sending program changes in the MIDI channel of the synth doesn't work...

Not all VSTis responds to program change. If that's the case with FM8 i don't know. It's seems like a strange omission but i've seen weirder things.
