Is there a way to send midi controller input on different channels to different racks? Theres a midi channel selection on the track, but I couldn;t get it to do anything; the controller output went everywhere.
Sometimes I start up mu.lab and can't get any sound out; i've checked the midi input, and I have a rack selected, and a synth in the rack, and it's going to master output, and the track's not muted. It just seems like no midi input is being received. Is there a way to monitor midi input?
Last time it happened I started up midipipe, and had no problem getting audio output out.
I'm on OSX 10.5, with a G4
thanks

Incoming MIDI controller data is always sent to the focussed target plugin.eclectics wrote:2 questions

So if you click a track with a target, then the MIDI controller data will go to that target plugin with the MIDI channel you can set by right-clicking that track. A similar story for parts on 'open' tracks, i.e. tracks with no specific target. Clicking a part focusses that part's target.
Yes, there is a simple MIDI monitor under Help -> Help Functions.Sometimes I start up mu.lab and can't get any sound out; i've checked the midi input, and I have a rack selected, and a synth in the rack, and it's going to master output, and the track's not muted.
