Receptor as DAW audio input

I am just thinking about such pair: Mbox Micro as output and Receptor as input for ProTools LE. I know I can use UniWire to record midi and audio data from Receptor to DAW but the question is do I need S/PDIF connection to clock Mbox and Receptor (as showned on UniWire setup video) as Micro has only audio out, no input? If yes, how can I do it without any additional card with S/PDIF input?
