First, I can't figure out how to get the Battery drumkit import function to work. It seems to find and load a Battery 1 drumkit but no sounds will play.
Second, and I don't know if its a bug or by design, after I load a drumkit, any change to a single piece changes the output channel assignment for that piece. For instance, I went to "global" and changed all of the outputs to 0 so they would all appear on the same track in Project5. After that I changed the open hi-hat sound, and that kitpiece had reverted back to channel 1 or 2.
Third, I think a drag & drop function for adding .WAV files to the drumkit would be very useful. For instance I have a folder open on the second monitor with a bunch of snare drum samples and drag them into the velocity window would be huge.
I am still getting the hang of this program but the rhythm generator function is very cool. Being able to create one base rhythm and have the software generate variations automatically is quite useful.

Yeah, it seems there are some problems in locating samples. We have to take a close look at it.Clydewinder wrote:First, I can't figure out how to get the Battery drumkit import function to work. It seems to find and load a Battery 1 drumkit but no sounds will play.
If you mean "change drum type", then yes, that is intentional. Every drum type has a name, MIDI assignment, panorama etc. and target channel assigned. When you change it, all of these properties are set. This makes the drumsets compatible with each other.Clydewinder wrote:Second, and I don't know if its a bug or by design, after I load a drumkit, any change to a single piece changes the output channel assignment for that piece. If you change sound source (if you meant this), then this should not happen. I'll check.
We are working on another solution - having a user sample directory available. This way you will say "d:/samples" contains my samples and you will browse in there too. Or you will turn off this in each particular instance, and you will be browsing our samples.Clydewinder wrote:Third, I think a drag & drop function for adding .WAV files to the drumkit would be very useful. This is not a question, or is it?Clydewinder wrote:I am still getting the hang of this program but the rhythm generator function is very cool. Being able to create one base rhythm and have the software generate variations automatically is quite useful.
