I'm not sure if this is a bug or just something I am doing wrong. I'm using Sylenth1 inside Logic.

I have an 8 beat midi pattern which is playing the Sylenth1. I think the patch is called bass roller and its set up with the arpeggiator in step mode and a wrap of 8 beats. The problem is that the note order randomly changes. It will play perhaps 2-3 cycles of the same and then the 4th will play the notes in a slightly different order.

Any body else noticed this? Any ideas how to get the arpeggiator to play the same pattern constantly?

Cheers

Can you be more specific.

Patch Name and bank it's from.

What your Midi clip is playing.

Are some of the notes in your 8 beat MIDI pattern overlapping and some not?

From my limited experience, if the notes overlap then the arpeggiator will continue from where it was but in the new key, if the notes don't overlap then the arpeggiator will restart from the beginning in the new key. ( I hope that makes sense.)

Try overlapping all the notes slightly and see if that gives you the desired result.

I can send you the .fxp file and midi file if thats ok

I tried what you said by making sure all notes overlap slightly. Still the same.
Basically the pattern plays as it should bars 1-8 but on starting bar 9 its a different sequence!

I dont have the answer to this but i'm interested if someone does.

I haven't noticed this problem with Sylenth (probably because i don't often use the arp) but i do notice it elsewhere, particulary Project 5. It just seems to go out of sync sometimes. I think it maybe due to some sounds having too much 'decay/release' so the arp get confused and can't 'fit it all in' so misses a beat.
