when i change presets in zebra, no automation info about parameters seems to be reported to hosts. ohmforce symtohm does it, however.
why is that?
i am asking, because i got the great midi learn thingy from midevice.com, which lets you repart parameter feedback to a controller like the bcr2000. it works, when i click on parameteres on the interface, but not when changing presets. unlike symptohm.
thanks

I do it in AU, but am contemplating to take that away from it. I can't remember whether the VST docs have anything about this.
Would reporting parameter updates upon preset change make sense? (Apart from the occasional freeze until the host has swallowed 600+ parameters)
Maybe I'll add it as an option though... just afraid of the poeple who think it's a "glitch" when they enable it...

an option would be excellent! could be set to "off" by default.
use with midi-controller-feedback-software is the only use i can think of. but those who venture into that new exciting control thing will be thankful to get a more hands-on zebra. (maybe novation automap works that way, too. maybe even mackie c4 - it seems that these surface are still the bleeding edge, after all these years.)
with the midevice.com thing it is really quick to map stuff. [i am talking about this http://midevice.com/Products.aspx?ProductID=0 ]. visual feedback to the control might be really helpful when loading patches and changing/dissecting them.
and yes, symptohm of course glitches when recording automation while changing presets. so i usually do either/or. might be an extra phrase wasted for that in the manual?
