Doing something wrong...

I can't figure out how to input single hit drums via midi notes. I've set my keyboard to channel 10 and it still seems to trigger parts. I'm using Live 7 and I've even told it to only listen to midi channel 10 so I know that's what I'm sending. What could I be doing wrong?

Hi there,
sorry for delay, company vacation in progress
.
I just checked, and it works correctly. I used MIDI channel 10 (no additional MIDI settings at all) and it triggers notes. I think it must be caused by Live.

Then I'm totally stumped. I've tried other VSTs that respond to multiple midi channels and I can get them all to work, yet I can't get mDrummer to make a sound at all. I can see it's getting input though, I just don't hear anything. What could I be doing wrong?

Well it depends what are you doing exactly? Can you send me some project for example?

It's getting MIDI no problem. I have my pads set to transmit only on channel 10. I have them going into a midi track in Live that's set to only look at channel 10. Midi out to the mDrummer channel/10-MDrummer and the MDrummer channel set to only look at the midi channel. The issue is I can't get it to play a single hit at all. It just starts the sequencer all the time.

And what happens if you set MIDI mode to "only channel 10" or something?
