i'm a new user, switched from eXT to MuLab (glad I did it!).
First I want to thank the developer for creating MuLab, one of the finest piece of sequencing software at all. It's a real Cubase, Logic, Tracktion and eXT - Killer.
As I'm addicted to everything having the term "modular" in it, the MPA and MUX are really a piece of art and a kind of creativity booster (at least for me).
So, here are my suggestions maybe for the next version:
It would be awesome to expand the MPA plugin-list by the following function:
1) additional menu entry: 'assign keystroke to'
1.1 submenu entry: 'launch sequence on track(s) between markers X and Y' (desired key, track(s) and marker numbers can be entered by the user)
1.2 submenu entry: 'enable slot(s) in Rack X' (desired key, slot number(s) and rack-name can be selected then)
1.3 submenu entry: 'disable (mute) slot(s) in Rack X'
2) Same structure as above, but also 'assign midi note to'
By just adding the above mentioned functions MuLab will also become an Ableton Live-Killer IF the user wants it (therefore hidden as a MPA plugin), otherwise MuLab remains an easy to use software even for the beginner (which is in terms of Mutools's philosophy I guess).
Firing off user-defined ranges of sequences in realtime by hitting a key would be an invaluable and highly inspirational live tool!
Thanks and cheers,
